Unbounded

I learned to release spirit

By moving in ecstasy

Travel through deep passions

To the place where I am free

Then the task before me

Was to bring the truth back home

Live my life surrendered

To the space where “I” am gone

Here the yearnings soften

And release their hold on you

The desires that revealed me

Unbound in all I do

Connected to vibration

My pace begins to slow

Rapture overwhelms me

And releases into flow

Right from the beginning

I was taught to look for us

Searching for a partner

In which to put my trust

This was what would save me

And give my heart some peace

HE is where I’d find hope

For a love that would not cease

The pain of this new culture

Has taken ancient wisdom

Withdrawn consciousness and joy

And made us into a prison

Deep inside this yearning

Lives desire to be freed

Within a sacred union

We germinate the seed

As we grasp for our desires

A lonely place of me

Our deepest collective wisdom

Says join God in the We

And so we try to love

One person with our all

And open those closed doors

Which make us feel so small

Forgetting the sweet lesson

That union would have us BE

Because in the end we know

There is no US in WE
